How is Bosch?

This beaded men's bracelet is named after De Bossche dragon, better known as the golden dragon. Because Den Bosch has traditionally been partly located in a swamp area, the city was also known as the swamp dragon. Because the area could easily be flooded and was considered an impregnable settlement.
The dragon is an heirloom of the deceased in 1894 Paulus Jan Bosch van Drakesteijn. He was the Queen's Commissioner for the province of North Brabant. After his death, it took another 9 years before the golden dragon with accompanying fountain was placed. The dragon holds in its claw the spell 'virtute et labore' (by virtue and labor).
